MINI Cooper Interior

MINI Cooper Review

Your own unique personality deserves the customizable color and style available to you in the 2019 MINI Cooper. The 2019 MINI Cooper’s interior and technology are lavish bonuses considering the sporty performance you are guaranteed when driving a MINI Cooper. Just because they are lavish bonuses doesn’t mean they are unnecessary, though.

When you check out the interior and technology of the MINI Cooper, whether it is a classic trim or the elegant John Cooper Works, you really can’t go wrong. Let’s take a look at all this vehicle has to offer.

Display and Feel

MINI Cooper Interior

At first glance, LEDs encircle the dashboard display and knobs to give it a futuristic appearance and a clever functional aspect, as everything pops. In fact, LEDs are tastefully placed all over the interior, including the door sills and door projectors.

You’ll hardly notice the vents because they are so seamlessly integrated into the sleek style. A bold accelerometer stares you in the face, which is appropriate because you will need it. With the MINI Cooper interior so beautifully designed, an optional panorama sunroof not only lets you see out, but it can also show off your style.

MINI Cooper Technology

The available technologies vary depending on the chosen trim level. Standard technologies in the classic, signature, and iconic include Bluetooth, USB port connection, and a 6.5-inch display. The MINI is in touch with modern connectivity needs, as some vehicles don’t yet include a USB port as standard. Then, depending on your selection of signature or iconic, there are options for an 8.8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, wireless device charging, navigation, and Apple CarPlay™.

The infotainment system is available with either the standard 6-speaker sound system or an upgraded 12-speaker surround sound. Both the 6.6-inch display and 8.8-inch touchscreen are easy to use and have intuitive, well-placed controls.

Safety is part of the technology conversation nowadays. Standard to each model is a rear parking sensor and a rearview camera. Optional upgrades include Adaptive Cruise Control, a front parking sensor, parallel park assist, and proximity keyless entry.

Seating and Cargo

MINI Cooper InteriorThe seating configuration in the MINI is efficient. The convertible and the Hardtop two door can seat four people. The Hardtop four door, the Clubman ALL4, and the Countryman ALL4 each seat five. The headroom feels more spacious than you would imagine. The rear seats have headrests, which is appropriate given the MINI’s get-up-and-go. Each model has available heated front seats and leather upgrades.

To maximize cargo space, there are multiple storage bins, and additional space is concealed in the floor of the trunk. The convertible has 5.7 cubic feet of trunk capacity, and 7.6 cubic feet trunk capacity when the front seats are folded down. The two-door has 8.7 cubic feet of trunk capacity, which turns into 34 cubic feet when the front seats are folded down. The four-door hardtop has 13.1 cubic feet trunk capacity, and 40.7 cubic feet when the front seats are folded down.
